سيدنا خبيب بن عدي رضي الله عنه قتل اثنين من الكفار في غزوة بدر فنذرت زوجة احدهم ان تشرب
الخمر برأس خبيب بن عدي وستدفع لمن يقبض عليه اي ثمن و في وقعة (بئر معونة).
احتال الكفار على ثلاتة من الصحابة منهم خبيب فقتلوا اثنين منهم وربطوا سيدنا خبيب
واخذوه الى مكة وباعوه لهذه المرآة التي قتل سيدنا خبيب زوجها وربطوه بالسلاسل
وبما انهم قبضوا عليه في الاشهر الحرم قالوا :
لا يصح قتله …
لذا قرروا ان يذبحوه بعد انتهاء الاشهر الحرم فوضعوه في بيت يسكنه رجل و امرآة وابنيهما الصغير
فاوثقوه وامروا سكان البيت بالتيقظ والحرص بالاحتفاظ عليه. وذات مرة كان الرجل صاحب البيت غير موجود وتحكي زوجته وتقول:
ادخل على خبيب بن عدي الحجرة ونحن في برد الشتاء فاجد في يده عنقودا من العنب ووالله ما في مكة حبة عنب (لا توجد في مكة حبة عنب وهو مربوطا بالسلاسل وجالس يأكل عنبا)
معجزة من معجزات الله سبحانه وتعالى.
فتقول المرأة: وعندما ادخل عليه مرة بعدها اجد في يده طعاما اخر و في مرة ثالتة اجد في يده طعاما اخر .
وفي يوم من الايام وقبل ان يقتل بيومن او ثلاتة قال لها: هل ممكن ان تعطيني موس؟
قالت: لماذا؟
قال: علمنا الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم ان نقوم بسنن الفطرة
(قص الاظافر وتهذيب الشارب وحلق الشعر وإزالة شعرالإبط ….بمعنى تنظيف نفسك)
وعندما احضرت له الموس اقترب ابنها الصغير منه وجلس في حضنه فخافت ان يقتله لان الموس في
يده ولكنه قال لها:
من يخاف الله لا يفعل هذا وما كان لي ان اكون من اصحاب محمد وافعل ذلك خذي الغلام ولا تقلقي.
وبعدالاشهر الحرم اخدوا خبيب بن عدي وخرجوا به خارج مكة وقاموا بتعليقه في شجرة وربطوه فيها وجمعوا كل قريش .
فبدأ ابو سفيان يقول: لا تقتلوه إنما اضربوه قريبا من يده وقدميه لا تقتلوه نريد ان نعذبه …
فبدأوا يضربونه وخبيب رافع الرأس وذهب ابو سفيان إليه
وقال: يا خبيب استحلفك بالله أتحب ان يكون
محمد مكانك الآن ؟
فقال: والله ما احب ان يكون رسول الله في بيته ويشاك بشوكة فكيف احب ان يكون في مكاني.
فقال ابو سفيان: ما رأيت احدا يحب احدا كحب اصحاب محمد لمحمد ثم قال ابو سفيان:
اتحب شيئا يا خبيب، أتطلب امرا يا خبيب قبل ان تموت.
قال: نعم احب ان اصلي ركعتين.
قال: انزلوه حققوا له طلبه.
ففكوا وثاقه فصلى ركعتين خفيفتين وقام فنظر لابي سفيان وقال: لولا ان تظنوا اني اخاف الموت لاطلت فيها ما شاء الله ان اطيل.
ثم اعادوه وربطوه وبدأ يقول شعرا:
ولست أبالي حين اقتل مسلما….
على اي جنب كان في الله مصرعي.
ثم وقف يدعو الله بأعلى صوته ويقول:
اللهم احصهم عددا واقتلهم بددا ولا تغادر منهم احدا.
وعندما دعا بها قام ابو سفيان وقال لقريش:
إنبطحوا على الارض كي لا تصيبكم الدعوة. فاصبح هو الوحيد الذي يرفع راسه وكلهم على الارض فلما رأى هذه النظرة ضحك وقال:
اللهم بلغ عني رسولك ما فعلته.
فينزل سيدنا جبريل عليه السلام من السماء فيخبر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حدث كذا وكذا لخبيب بن عدي وهم يقتلونه.. ويأمر
النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم واحدا من الصحابة ويقول له: اذهب بسرعة إلى مكة واحضر لي جثة خبيب بن عدي…
ويحكي الصحابي يقول: وصلت والدنيا قد أظلمت فصعدت على النخلة التي كان مربوطا عليها وكنت
خائفا ان يراني احد فأقتل وفككته حتى أنزل به من على النخلة فوقع فنزلت من على النخلة ابحث عنه
فلم اجده فيقول الصحابي : ظللت ابحث عنه، لانه لا يستطيع ان يعود إلى النبي بدونه فانتظر حتى يصبح
الصباح وعندما طلع النهار لم يجد الجثة فرجع للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم حزينا لانه بعثه في مهمة ولم ينجزها فلما دخل على النبي ابتسم له وقال:
لا عليك دفنته الملائكة
